Are you a seasoned camper? Are you tired of the noise,
hassle and expense of campgrounds? Tired of the music
blasting into the night and car doors slamming before
daybreak? Welcome to the next level of camping.
Backcountry camping. The only thing holding you back is your
rig and ability to get outdoors!
Welcome. Here's What We're All About:
As we go into the "dog days" of summer in
Texas, my thoughts turn to the cool mountain
air in Colorado. As we ease into September,
the time is right to head to the mountains.
The monsoon season is ending and the Aspens
will soon be showing their fall colors. Colorado
has some of the best hiking, fishing and
backcountry camping around.
Be smart, sensible and prepared. If you are out in the middle of nowhere and your rig breaks down, be prepared to walk until you can
find help. Have enough water and provisions to be able to self rescue yourself and your family. Chances are your cell phone will not
work where you are stuck. Always have backpacks, hydration systems and food to get you out.
